Friends

Hi guys, its BooksInNeed! I’ve been thinking about what to post, so whenever I come near my computer I would just say “…Nah” and walk away.

Then my friend gave me a suggestion of a post, and here I am! She said “Talk about how good of a friend I am”. (Quite literally) SO, then I decided to do a friend post about what a friend means to me. On with the post!

A quick warning- this is me, BooksInNeed, talking from my heart, so if you guys want to comment on how horribly weird I sound, be my guest.

I won’t lie, there was a time in my life where I wished I had such good friends I do now. I love all of them (as a friend of course) for being my friend and are there for me! I used to think a friend was a person that would just stay by you and say everything was alright when it wasn’t, but I realized that the are more then that.

A friend isn’t like your parents or siblings, that you love unconditionally, but you fully trust a real friend with who you actually are. For me, that’s when you meet me, I’ll probably be so shy. I’d barley get two words out without my voice going higher. With my friends, I’m outgoing, loud, energetic, and am appreciated for being who I am. Like I said, they will accept you for who you truly are.

Sometimes, a friend isn’t a lot like a friend sometimes. I should know, I’ve been let down by somebody I’ve called a friend. To me, a true friend is the one that stays with you, in your heart. If a friend is a house away, a mile away, even a country away, a true friend will always be with you in your heart.

Some people will disagree with me, and say that some friends  are like acquaintances, or people that will just pass by in your life. Some are. It’s the friends that will never leave you are the ones that are important.

So I want to give shout-outs to the two most important friends in my life, who are both more like sisters to me than just friends. A huge thank you to Dancer Fan, who just started blogging about something she loves, which is dancing. She is so amazing to be there for me, and is a best friend to me. Another huge thank you to PatBunny, who is also one of my best friends, which distance can’t set us apart from heart. Thanks for being my soul sisters to both of you!

That’s my post! This is all coming from my heart, not my head, so comment if this is a good post or if I should stick to something else instead.

BUT, if anybody finds this a good post, then comment on what you think a friend is to you, like PatBunny and Dancer Fan are to me.

Bye!

(And if you skipped the whole post and are reading this, all I have to say is that I’m disappointed in you) (Just joking)

  1. My heart is melting…this is the first time someone other than my family has said something so sweet about me. Thank you so much. BooksInNeed, you are like that one friend I always read about in books, but thought I would never meet. You know, they live next door, share secrets, have a code, ride bikes everywhere together. We aren’t like that, but it doesn’t matter, because we are there for each other when needed. Nothing can increase the distance between us (haha…literally and figuratively). Thank you so much for cheering me up!

    1. Awww, your welcome! You are like the best friend that I always dreamed about, kind, nice, smart, and can keep up with my (horrible) jokes. I also never thought that a friend like this would come by, but here you are! Even though distance is long, you’re in my heart and I would never forget you! ❤

  2. I have one really, really good friend. She lives in Virginia now and I’m in Texas, before that when we were both in Texas we were still about ten hours apart. We don’t talk 24/7 and sometimes we don’t talk for a day or two or three… but she’s still my favorite person in the world. We’re always there for each other, whether it be because we need help, guidance, or someone to give us a kick in the butt about something we did. You’re right, its someone that stays with you in your heart.
Also, you don’t sound horribly weird. I wish I could use emojis because I would do the tongue sticking out face but I’m on my desktop and there’s no emojis on desktop, unfortunately. So, just imagine a bunch of emojis in this comment.

    1. It’s so cool that you have such a good friend! I have a friend like that also, but now we’re a state apart and sometimes don’t talk for weeks because we’re so busy. But I still think that we’re like sisters no matter what!
And thank you! For the whole hour after I posted this I was just wondering if I should go back and edit the whole thing. Haha, my favorite emoji is the winky face with it’s tounge sticking out because it’s my symbol that means I’m joking. 😜

      1. All of my posts are not very professional, in my opinion😂 I like to joke around and talk how I would talk to someone in person. I think it makes it more real and more you, especially on reviews🤷🏻‍♀️ no judgement here💕

  3. You are so adorably quirky.😍 (And no I am not a skipper).👏🏽😂 I admire the fact that you have people in your life who mean so much to you.💚 Because it’s rare. Having true friends I mean. (Even when they do questionable things like take your library card).😉 And it’s true people will have different views on friendship and what it means to them.☕️

    1. Awwwwwww, thank you! ❤ (And yay, thank you again!) There are a lot of good friends in my life now that are so amazing to me, but not so much a few years ago. It is rare to have a true friend, but if you trust them enough I think that a true friend can be in anyone! Thanks for commenting on this post. 🙂
