BooksInNeed, with a book that had me held until the end (even the second time) and I was (once again) still wanting more at the end.
The Secret of a Heart Note by Stacey Lee
I somehow have a feeling that the universe wants me to reread all the books that I have in the past few years of books I’ve finished. Thanks, I guess? I finished Secret of a Heart Note about a year ago (I think?), and I absolutely loved it. Finding it was harder.
Being one of the last two aromateurs on the planet, Mimosa learned that her future was important. Too important. Being a love witch like her mother had sealed fates of more than one person. The thing is, love witches can’t fall in love, (sort of lucky when you think about it) but if they do, they lose their nose. No, not like their nose will fall off, or they lose the ability to smell, but if you’re an aromateur then your nose works differently than others. You could smell feelings, and personality. For anything, really, I guess. making people fall in love was her gift. Surviving through high school, her heartache sickness that all aromateurs have, gets worse, and she has to survive all the attention until she could ‘Boys Be Gone’ them. When she saves Court “Warrior” Sawyer from an allergic reaction to a bee, and he starts falling for her, only that love witches can’t fall in love. While fixing her algebra teacher to the school librarian, she accidently fixes Mrs. Sawyer, Court’s mom, instead, and things go downhill fast. Now with Court’s ex on her, blackmailing her with her BFF’s poetry for her to be with Court, and her going with Court to try and fix everything with his mom, could she find out what love is, or will the word turn true, and she can’t?
Somewhere between right and wrong lies a garden surrounded by thorns, and I have met you there.

Thank You, Stacy Lee, for this amazing heartfelt book, that was one of the best rereads I’ve ever done (not including books like Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and Keeper of the Lost Cities)
