BooksInNeed, and I’m doing Harry Potter series because of a few comments, and it was my favorite series in elementary school. Seriously, you couldn’t see me without a book from the Harry Potter series.
Harry Potter by J.K Rowling
I’ve always loved Harry Potter because the series was just amazing and was… powerful, I guess? It always was about Harry, but it showed how a person could survive that much pain in their lives, with his parents dying and having no other family than his Aunt Petunia (who looked like a stick in the movies), who had married to his Uncle Vernon (who was like a pig in the movies, and J.K Rowling gave an brilliant (Still a Harry Potter fan, ‘brilliant‘) description of him in the books) and had a son called Dudley (who was equally as much of a pig, and stupid. I remember in the first book, when Harry moved into his second bedroom he threw something valuable ,I forgot what, out his window. All I have to say about that is ‘WOW’ with a lot of sarcasm ( I love sarcasm ) and roll my eyes ) who hated him the second she set eyes on him, because she thought of him just like her sister, a freak. Harry always knew he was different. He felt it. And days before his 12th birthday, he got letters which were all addressed to him from a place called Hogwarts (I’m remembering the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, when the mind reader person says “Hogwash?”), with his exact location. When I first read this book I was like, ‘Wow, I wonder if I could do that…’-
(Faint explosion in the distance)
-but then letters started coming by the hundreds, it got too much for poor Uncle Vernon, and they moved to a cold cottage on an remote island in the middle of a thunder storm (on his birthday, but they didn’t notice, they never knew he had a birthday) when they meet Hagrid (the half-giant), the gamekeeper for magical school of Hogwarts. Hagrid explains that Hogwarts is a school for witches and wizards (“You’re a wizard Harry!”) and his parents didn’t die in a car crash, they were one of the strongest magical couple that Hagrid ever knew. That Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts, invited him to Hogwarts, to learn magic. Harry accepts, but Uncle Vernon has other plans while doing this, we Harry Potter fans learn that you should “Never insult Albus Dumbledore” in front of Hagid.
Dudley learns this lesson really quickly with a wave of Hagrid’s wand , sprouting a pigs tail in his umm… lets say ‘behind’ (“I tried to turn him into a pig, but he was already too much of it”) and Hagrid takes Harry into the magical world of Witches and Wizards. That’s all I’m spoiling about this (amazing) book series except for that my favorite character is a tie between Bellatrix and Snape
I admit, I’m more of a Snape fan, even after he killed Dumbledore, but Bellatrix was also one of the best characters for her importance to the Dark Lord. Yes, I admit that I’m more on the dark side of the book (I remember I once wanted the dark mark, and I still do actually now that I think about it)
,but I think that Harry doesn’t do much in the book except for kill Voldemort, which the animation was awesome!
So, if you have read the Harry Potter series before, comment below on who was your favorite character.
